MATCH REPORT - NAIRN COUNTY 1 JAGS 1
NAIRN AND BUCKIE SHARE THE SPOILS AFTER PLAYERS SEE RED
Nairn County and Buckie Thistle settled for a point apiece after both sides had a player sent off.
Craig Campbell had just levelled from the penalty spot for Nairn when he got in a tangle with Buckie goalkeeper Kevin Main and both players were red-carded by referee Bryan Braidwood.
A first-half penalty from Craig MacMillan had given Buckie the lead but the match only came to life in the last quarter after the sending-offs.
Nairn manager Les Fridge said: "We were disappointed to concede a penalty a couple of minutes before half-time, but it was a rash challenge. I thought we looked a lot better in the second half, we got the ball down and started to knock it about a bit but a draw was about right."
Jags manager Gregg Carrol said: "Our final pass was a bit erratic and for us it is definitely a case of two points dropped rather than one gained but if we can take full points from next Saturday's trip to Wick I still think we have a great chance of retaining our title."
Buckie took the lead a couple of minutes from the break when Andy Neill brought down Munro just inside the area and MacMillan gave Ridgers no chance from the spot. Nairn were then awarded a penalty in the 64th minute when Munro bundled over Steven MacKay in the box . Main got a hand to Campbell's effort but failed to keep it out - in the ensuing melee Campbell and Main both received their marching orders.
