MATCH REPORT TURRIFF 2 JAGS 2
The champions came back from 2-0 down to secure a point which looked unlikely at the interval.
United player-manager Mark Simpson was delighted by his team's performance for the first 80 minutes, but was upset by losing those two late goals.
Simpson said: "We would have accepted a point against the champions before the game but we are really disappointed at giving away a 2-0 lead late on when we lost two goals, both of them from set-pieces.
"Buckie played a lot of football but we defended without too much difficulty until those late goals.
"We have taken a point recently at home to Cove Rangers and now we've drawn against the champions, that can't be too bad but having been 2-0 up we are down at only taking the one point."
Jags manager Gregg Carrol said: "We were woeful and my players really need to take a good look at themsleves.
"We were terrible throughout the team.
"Defensively we were all over the place, our shape was bad.
"Too many of our players think they are better players than they really are and I've just told then as much in the dressing room.
"I don't take any positives from this performance at all, but take nothing away from Turriff United, they throughly deserved to by 2-0 up until we snatched those two late goals to steal a point."
Jerry O'Driscoll gave United the lead in the 22nd minute when he took an Andy Hutchison feed and it was 2-0 to the home side right on the stroke of half-time, Dave McKenzie heading high into the net.
With nine minutes left Buckie reduced the leeway when Michael Morrison headed home a Lewis MacKinnon cross and the champions secured a point two minutes later when MacKinnon's powerful header from Zander Sutherland corner flew past Steven Coutts in the Turriff coal.
