Aberdeenshire Cup returns to Victoria Park
Fans who enter the Victoria Park Function hall this Saturday for the home match against Forres Mechanics will now see both the Aberdeenshire Cup and Shield, two magnificent trophies, proudly displayed in cabinets above the bar.
Despite the club having won both trophies earlier this season this is the first time that both trophies have been displayed together,as the cup was handed back to the Aberdeenshire FA on the evening of the shield final against Inverurie Locos.
The cup was sent to Glasgow so that a special storage box could be made, this will help protect the club against damage when being transported in the future.
This is the first time in 21 years that theJags have won two trophies in one season, and is it the first time in the clubs history that both trophies have been won in the same season.
As both trophies are a considerable size special cabinets were made to accommodate and display them in full.
