A cracking evening looks to be shaping up as the Buckie Thistle Sporting Evening gets ready to swing into action this Saturday (February 9th 2008).

The Fishermans Hall is the venue for this sell out event, with the doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.

One of the main attractions on offer will be the auction, and a mouthwatering list has been assembled for people to bid for.  The extensive list includes: Christiano Ronaldo Manchester United signed top, a print by Scottish star James McFadyen, a Tiger Woods signed photo display, a Kenny Dalglish signed Scotland top and a Lewis Hamilton signed photo display.

These however, are but a very small sample of the complete list of items up for grabs.

Looking forward to what promises to be yet another successful evening, Buckie Thistle President Mark Duncan said "This years Sporting Evening has been a sell-out once again and the tickets went quicker than ever before.  We will have 200 people at the dinner, which is the capacity allowed".

"It is now becoming an annual event on the local calendar that everyone is looking forward to.  We have two excellent guest speakers in the shape of John Rowbotham, former Premier League Referee, and Comedian George McNeill."

"This will be the fifth Sporting Evening in a row for us at the Fishermans Hall, and it is the culmination of many months of hard work.  We hope that everyone will have a great time and thoroughly enjoy thenselves, while at the same time helping the club."
