Match report - Inverurie Loco's 2 Buckie Thistle 0
Buckie Thistle's unbeaten run of almost six months without defeat in the Highland League ended with this match against Inverurie.
The Jags had three changes from last weeks draw with Deveronvale, Shewan replaced the suspended Neill at right back and Matheson and Macdonald started instead of Ritchie Davidson and Macrae (who had been struggling with a leg injury).
Buckie started brightly enough but it was Main in the Buckie goal who brought off the first save from Gauld. Andy low then could have scored but Jarvie saved well.
Inverurie had two crosses across the Jags box, coming close, but then opened the scoring when GAULD finished from close range in 29 minutes.
Buckie replied immediately when Tony Low drove in from the wing and warmed the hands of home keeper Jarvie.
The windy conditions were not helping good football from either side and Locos forced a number of corners by using this advantage, despite this there was no further scoring in the first half.
HALF TIME 1 -0
The first twenty minutes of the second half were scrappy, with both sides battling to get the better of the conditions.
Buckie then had four chances to level the scoring, firstly Andy Low had a lob which hit the bar and Jarvie saved Neil Davidsons header, then "Zico "hit the side netting, Jarvie then saved with his legs from close range and Stephen Bruce headed over from a corner.
Locos sealed their win in 87 minutes when GAULD bundled home.
