Although the Staggies, once a feared side in the Highland League, took a drop last term and now ply their trade in Div 2, they will be keen to show the Jags that their full-time status is deserved.

The match will give the Jags faithful a further opportunity to assess how their new signings stand up to allegedly "superior opposition" and you can be sure that an exciting contest is on the cards.

David Macrae, another Jags signing target is currently being assessed, with a view to signing for the Dingwall side, whose youth supremo is another former Jag, George Adams.

With most of the fit members of Buckie's squad getting a run out on Sunday v the Dons, there will be fierce competition for places, although it is likely that all players able to play will take to the field at some stage.
