Report -- Clachnacuddin 0 Buckie Thistle 0
The Jags had a full-strength squad to choose from for this vital league match.
In came Brian Neill for Jamie Shewan, who did not even make the bench such was the strength of squad, as well as Strong who returned to the bench as back-up keeper.
Buckie almost went ahead in the first minute when Tony Low crossed and Macmillan headed down only for the Clach keeper to bring off a good save.
A pass-back to Jags keeper Main saw his clearance hit a Clach forward and Watson rounded Main and cut the ball back only for Fraser to blast over, much to the relief of the Jags support.
Andy Low then warmed the hands of home keeper Hastie and Neill, Stewart and Tony Low also brought out good saves as the half-time whistle approached.
Half- time 0 - 0
There were no changes to the Jags starting line-up for the second half. Ritchie Davidson came close to putting the Jags ahead with a good interchange of passing in the box but again Hastie saved well.
Buckie had several attempts on goal in the next 30 minutes but nothing that really troubled the home keeper.
Various substitutions were made during the second half with Macrae and Bruce replacing Matheson and Mackinnon, then Neil Davidson replaced his namesake Ritchie.
Despite having most of the play the nearest the Jags came to scoring was when a shot come cross from Tony Low in the final minutes shaved the top of the cross-bar.
Summary -- a very dissapointing display and result for everyone at the club with two valuable points lost . With only four matches remaining it is vital that the Jags now hit top form, if they do then they can win these fixtures and the title, anything less and you can forget about winning leagues.
Next up is away to the current champions Keith and every Buckie player will need to be at their very best for this one.
The Jags team was...... MAIN, NEILL, DUNCAN, MACKINNON, MATHESON (MACRAE 58), SMALL, T LOW, R DAVIDSON (N DAVIDSON 75), A LOW, MACMILLAN (BRUCE 58), STEWART. Unused subs -- MACDONALD AND STRONG.
