JAGS PLAYERS IN RUNNING FOR ANNUAL AWARDS

This week will reveal the winners of several top "Player of the Year" awards.  First up was the Sunday Posts annual "Young Player of the Year " award in which  Buckie midfielder/defender BRIAN NEILL  finished in 3rd position, well done Brian!

The winner of this award was PAUL COUTTS of league champions Cove Rangers, with SAM MACKAY of Brora Rangers voted as this years runner up, Fraserburghs WILLIE WEST was voted in fourth position. 

This Friday (30th May 2008 ) the Highland League's annual "Player of the Year " Awards will take place at the Newton Hotel in Nairn.

There are three Jags players nominated for both the "Clubman" of the year award as well as being considered for the top award of overall "Highland League Player of the Year ", they are club captain KEVIN SMALL, Goalkeeper KEVIN MAIN and striker CRAIG MACMILLAN.

The Highland Leagues top award was of course won last year by Jags midfielder DONNIE MUNRO who left at the end of last season to join Peterhead.
