JAGS SIGN CHARLIE BROWN

Buckie Thistle have tonight signed top striker CHARLIE BROWN in a move  which will both delight and excite  Jags fans for the season ahead.

We can reveal that the former Forres Mechanics hitman has tonight "put pen to paper" and signed a one year contract with the Jags.

DOUG WILL tonight said "We are delighted to bring a player of Charlie's ability to the club, especially as he is a player we have admired for a long time.  Charlie has had problems in the past with a knee injury but has been given the all clear from a specialist and he is now looking forward to what will be  a fresh challenge at Buckie".

"He will give us something completely different with his pace and will provide even more competition for places, which is always a good thing at a football club."

Brown is a former Highland League "player of the year" and this signing, the first since Kevin and Doug Will recently returned to Victoria Park is a major boost  for the club.

CHARLIE BROWN tonight said "I am really looking forward to next season and to the new challenge that this move to Buckie will bring".
