LOW ON LONG WAY TO RECOVERY
Buckie ace facing a 10-month lay-off
Low keeping spirits high after major op.
Buckie Thistle attacker Andy Low will be out of the game for up to 10 months after haveing major knee reconstruction surgery last Thursday.
The 24-year-old said: "The surgeon has told me he is very happy with the job he has done and during the reconstruction operation he also tidied up one or two wee tears, all of which had come from the original cruciate injury I have had for the last two years.
"I am pleased the operation is out of the way and I know it is a long way back to recovery. I have played through it at times, but on other occasions it has been too painful and I have had to sit out for a three-week period."
The former Huntly and Inverurie Locos player added: "I am hoping I can get myself back running during the pre-season training before getting myself back to full fitness and taking it from there.
"I have been told the recovery time is normally around 10 months but I was able to build up my knee fairly well before the operation, so, hopefully, I will achieve my goal of taking part in the pre-season.
"Hopefully, I will be back scoring goals for Buckie Thistle some time next season."
