MANAGERS COMMENTS

Buckie failed to make it 10 wins in a row in Saturdays away match at Inverurie but they did strike back to snatch a draw and keep their unbeaten run under new manager Gregg Carrol intact.

No quarter was asked or given in a rip-roaring Highland League game which finished in a 1 - 1 draw.

After the match Locos manager Dave Cormie said: "There was a spell when we went 1-0 up that we played some really good football in the conditions, but this is why I enjoy being back in the game at this level.

"What a great game it was and there is nobody in the crowd who could have gone unhappy with the value for money.

"I couldn't have asked for any more of my players, although I was disappointed we didn't take any of the chances set up by Craig Ross."

Carrol said: "I have to be happy with a 1-1 draw at Locos, although neither side created too many chances throughout but Mark Smith did hit the post for Locos and Craig MacMillan had a chance.

"Both defences played well in a contest where Locos had good possession, but they didn't manage to break us down in the attacking third.

"Although we lost a goal from a bad mistake at the back, and Mark Smith probably should have scored with his header, I have to be happy with a point, while I'm sure Dave Cormie will be unhappy with a home draw."
