FRASERBURGH 1 BUCKIE THISTLE 3 -- Managers Comments

Fraserburgh's proud 12 month unbeaten home Highland League record came to an end with Buckie Thistle's win at Bellslea Park on Saturday.

Buckie manager Gregg Carrol was delighted to see his side extend its unbeaten record to 10 wins and a draw in their last 11 outings, moving up to third spot in the table in the process.

Carrol said: "I thought we were good in the first half and other than a couple of scares in the first 10 minutes we did all right and got the goals at just the right time.

"The game could have turned on its head just after half-time when Fraserburgh were on top, as they showed more fight than ourselves.

"They scored from a penalty and that sort of thing can turn games, we didn't compete in the second half and that isn't good enough for me. However, let's not take the shine off an excellent performance, as we scored three good goals, with Paul Napier scoring one and providing the service from the right flank for Martin Charlesworth's double."
