MACRAE - SHOULDERS INJURY BURDEN

Midfielder David MacRae has been playing through pain with a shoulder injury and is hoping a weekend off will aid his recovery.

The 24 year old former Nairn County player said: "I landed badly on my shoulder in the game at Inverurie several weeks ago and ever since have beem struggling with it.

"It restricts my running more than anything else which makes it difficult when I need a physical presence to try to head the ball.

"I think the problem is in my collarbone but I have had it x-rayed and that failed to turn up anything, so perhaps it just needs time to heal.

"I had physiotherapy last Tuesday and they thought it might be a shoulder ligament problem.  Hopefully, after we have a rest this weekend, as we received a bye in the League Cup, that will help ease the problem."

Buckie's 11 game unbeaten run was ended by Cove Rangers last weekend and MacRae added: "We didn't perform at all against Cove when a lot of the lads, including myself, let ourselves down.

"Hopefully, we can bounce back when we make the trip to Wick a week on Saturday.  We know that they are a very good team and are on a good run.

"It is all about how we handle the Cove defeat.  It was a heavy blow but we just have to take it and get on with the job."
