MATCH REPORT -- BUCKIE THISTLE 4 LOSSIEMOUTH 0

A minutes silence was observed by both sets of supporters as they paid their respects to all those lost in the midweek north sea helicopter tragedy, including Stuart Wood son of former Jags goalkeeper Joe Wood and our thoughts and prayers are with all the families at this time.

The Jags starting line-up showed three changes from the last match at Keith, Macrae and Shewan were both suspended and club captain Small was stuck offshore.  In came Good, Davidson and Lewis Duguid - who was recalled from the Juniors.

The match started with the Jags on the attack and several crosses flashed across the face of the Lossie goal but to there were no takers.  Munro then cut the ball back from the byeline and Napier volleyed wide.

Buckie went ahead in 15 minutes, a Lossie defender played a pass which was intercepted by Charlie Brown and he squared the ball to CRAIG MACMILLAN who smashed the ball into the net.

The first half was a scrappy affair with both sides trying to get the ball down to play football but the wind continued to get stronger as the game went on.

                                          HALF-TIME 1-0

There were no changes to the Jags line-up for the second half.

Lossie's best chance to score came five minutes into the second half when former Jags striker Shaun Ccott did well in cutting the ball back from the byeline but the ball was then blasted over the bar by a Lossie forward.

Buckie increased their lead in 58 minutes when a header back across goal was volleyed into the net by LEWIS DUGUID, who did well throughout the match.

Charlie Brown then left the field to a great ovation from the Jags fans for his play, being a threat throughout the match, being replaced by Bruce.

It was 3-0 ten minutes later when PAUL NAPIER chipped the ball over the keeper.

Macdonald and Macmillan were then replaced by Duncan and Hamilton and the Jags wrapped up the scoring 2 minutes from time when STEVEN "Marra" BRUCE steadied himself before slamming the ball low into the net.

                                          FULL- TIME 4-0

SUMMARY -- The first half was rather scrappy, but there were still several chances for the Jags to score and Macmillan took his chance well.
