BUCKIE WELCOME BACK MACKINNON
Buckie Thistle manager Gregg Carrol is delighted former Jags' favourite Lewis MacKinnon has agreed a two year contract with the Victoria Park outfit.
After a season in Australian football MacKinnon joined Nairn County midway through the season, scoring eight times.
Carrol said: "We went after Lewis when he first came back from Australia, but he decided to go to Nairn as he wasn't sure if he was going to return to Australia.
"He always said if he was going to stay at home he would like to come back to Buckie and that's exactly the way things have gone."
Carrol added: "We have also added three young lads from the Aberdeen juvenile ranks, Danny Thomson, Chris Allan and Chris Angus have all signed."
MacKinnon, who works as a van driver in Inverness, is looking forward to going back to Victoria Park and said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Victoria Park, I had a great rapport with supporters and was player of the year. Buckie has the biggest and best support in the league and that is one of the main reasons I decided to return to the club.
"I would probably have gone back to Buckie when I first came back from Australia but as I didn't intend staying any more that a few months before returning I decided to join Nairn County.
"I have recently got engaged and have decided to stay around so I am more than happy to rejoin Buckie Thistle."
