MATCH REPORT( saturday 11th july ) -- BUCKIE THISTLE 0 INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE 2

The match kicked off in glorious sunshine and with a healthy crowd of just over 300 in the ground.

Inverness went ahead in two minutes when a cross from the left by Eagle was headed into the net by FORLAN.  It was 2-0 in 15 minutes when a cross, this time from the right was headed past main by FORAN for his second of the day.

Macrae tested former Don Esson in the Caley goal with a well struck shot from the edge of the box then Duncan hit the side-netting with a volley.

Small hooked the ball off the line then Buckie really should have scored five minutes from the interval when Charlesworth opted to shoot himself rather than passing to Napier, who was well placed and the Jags striker blasted the ball over the bar.

                                 Half-time 0-2

There were no changes to the Jags line-up at the start of the second half, inverness came close to adding to their lead twice in the first 20 minutes of the second half but missed the target with both attempts.

Macmillan, who appeared from the bench for the last half-hour, came closest to scoring for the Jags with 15 minutes left but narrowly missed from 8 yards.

                                Full-time 0-2

SUMMARY -- A good workout for the Jags who did well after losing two goals in the opening 15 minutes, a good team performance, especially in the second half with several of the new signings also impressing.
