MATCHDAY CHANGES AT FUNCTION HALL

With the first game of the new Highland League season due to get underway this Saturday, fans are being reminded that there will be new rules governing entry to the Victoria Park Function Hall.

The changes, which will see a members only policy being enforced, are the result of new legislation, as club Director Murray Duncan explained.

"Due to a change in the legislation, anyone wishing to gain access to the Function Hall on a matchday will have to be a member," he said "Should the police choose to come in then everyone will have to show their membership card.

"Application forms are available from Slater Sports and a season's membership only costs £15.  Applicants must be 18 or over, though.

"I know that some fans will query why we are doing this, but we have been given no option as this is necessary to comply with the new legislation.  We have even had to change our constitution to ensure that we comply with the law.

"For the past five years we have allowed anyone who wants to into the Function Hall on matchday, but we just cannot do that any more."

Arrangements will be made in advance with visiting clubs regarding access and temporary passes issued.
