MATCH REPORT - CLACHNACUDDIN 1 BUCKIE THISTLE 2
The Jags trail 1-0 with ten minutes remaining - but fight back to win with goals from CHARLIE BROWN and CHRIS ANGUS.
The Jags starting line-up showed several changes from Wednesday night's Aberdeenshire Shield match, back in were Chris Angus, Small, Mackinnon, Stewart and Bruce for Shewan, Lamberton, David Angus, Munro and Brown.
The match kicked off at the later time of 3.15pm as players, officials and supporters paid their respects at the funeral of life-long Jags fan NORMAN WILSON who sadly passed away on Wednesday at the age of 62 after a recent illness.
Buckie had the better of the play and came close to scoring twice in the first half, Mackinnon had a free-kick tipped wide of the post and Stewart had a header pushed onto the post - both being good saves from the Clach keeper.
Davidson should have done better after some good build-up play but failed to hit the target from the edge of the box.
HALF - TIME 0-0
Clach went ahead in 70 minutes when WILLIAMSON bulleted a header into the net off the underside of the cross-bar.
The Jags were still 1-0 behind with ten minutes left but levelled the score in 82 minutes when Napiers cross was driven into the net by CHARLIE BROWN.
The winning goal came in 88 minutes, a cross by Bob Duncan was flicked on by Stewart and CHRIS ANGUS burst into the box to shoot into the net - much to the delight of the large travelling Jags support.
FULL-TIME 1-2
SUMMARY - Not a great performance in a "scrappy" match - but full credit to the Jags who never gave in and fought back to win a very valuable three points.
