Thursday night's football night!
On Thursday 13th September, the Buckie Thistle Under 15 side face a stern test, when Ross County Under 15s pay a visit to Victoria Park.
The Dingwall side will prove difficult opponents in this friendly, arranged by David "Parro" Findlay, the Area Chairman of the Under 15s League.
Being part of a professional outfit, the visitors regularly face very strong opposition and should give a measure as to how far our own lads are progressing.
Kick off is at 7.30 pm and " Parro" is keen that our fans come along to support the youngsters in numbers, something they deserve for the committment they are showing to the club.
He commented "These lads are the future of Buckie Thistle FC and I hope the fans will turn out to support them, even although this is only a friendly match. It is our hope that they will progress to the under 17s and then on to under 19s in time and so add to the conveyor belt of talent we hope to create for Buckie Thistle's benefit in future years."
The hard working coach, who also makes time to coach basically the same squad of players for Buckie High School has enthusiasm in abundance and this too deserves recognition, although he is too honest a guy to admit this.
Co-incidentally, Graham Lappin will be presenting a new set of jerseys to the squad, on behalf of his company, Monoseal Plus and his contribution to the cause is also greatly appreciated by the club.
