A cracking evening looks to be in the offing at the Buckie Thistle Sporting Evening, which takes place in the Fisherman's Hall, Buckie, on Saturday February 27th.

One of those eagerly anticipating what has become a big event in the local calendar is Buckie Thistle President Mark Duncan.

"Tickets for this year's Sporting Evening are now available but are selling fast," he said.

"We hope to have 200 people at the dinner, which is the capacity allowed at the Fisherman's Hall.

"It is now becoming an annual event on the local calendar that everyone looks forward to.  We have two excellent guest speakers in the shape of comedy writer Stewart Smith and  John Gahagan, who is now widely regarded as Scotland's top after dinner speaker.

"This will be the seventh Sporting Evening in a row for us and demand for the event continues to grow each year."

Tickets are now available, with a table of 10 costing £400 or individual tickets at £40 each.  The ticket price includes a quality three-course meal and tea or coffee.
