Buckie Thistle fans are now able to toast the team's successes with a special dram.

Last week saw the launch of a Buckie Thistle-branded single malt whisky, complete with the club crest resplendent on the label.

Club President Mark Duncan said: "We felt that there was a definite demand for something like this here for the club as it would be the ideal gift for supporters.

"Buckie Thistle single malt is a specialist single cask malt, with each cask selected for its superior quality."

As the malt is a single cask each bottling may vary slightly in taste and colour, adding to the interest of lovers of fine malt whisky.

Buckie Thistle single malt whisky is filtered at room temperature, resulting in more of the natural spirit being left in the bottle and therefore improving the taste.

Having already captured the Aberdeenshire Cup this season, to which Jags fans can have a retrospective toast to with the new whisky, supporters will be looking forward to more silverware to enjoy raising a dram to as the season moves on.

Should Thistle remain on top of the league by the end of the season, demand will no doubt sky-rocket.
