MATCH REPORT/MAN OF THE MATCH PHOTO
Champions Buckie Thistle had to come from a goal down to claim the points against impressive Wick Academy at Victoria Park.
Stevie Cunningham gave Wick an interval lead but two second half penalties and a Hamish Munro strike made sure of the points.
Buckie manager Gregg Carrol said: "I thought that Wick were by far the better side in the first half. Our second half performance was a lot better. I was a lot happier after the break as we just didn't turn up in the first half."
Academy co-manager Ian Munro said: "The 3-1 score line definately wasn't a fair reflection on the game, the first half was all ours."
Wick opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a superb solo effort from Cunningham but the Jags levelled from the spot in the 55th minute when Craig MacMillan netted after Gary Manson was adjudged to have handled a cross.
Buckie took the lead on the hour, Munro netting a rebound and they added another, again from the penalty spot. This time it was Ian Murray, three minutes from time, after Munro had gone down in the box under a Craig Shearer challenge.
