BUCKIE HIT SEVEN BUT FINISH WITH NINE

Buckie reached the third round of the Scottish Cup with this crushing away victory.

A brace apiece from Donnie Munro and Ian Murray set up the rout but Jags pair Zander Sutherland and Jamie Shewan were both sent off late in the game.

Buckie manager Gregg Carrol said: "It really could have been a lot more than 7-1.  We scored in the 12th minute and totally dominated the game, although the soft red cards for both Zander and Jamie were disappointing.

"They will miss the Highland League game at Lossiemouth and not our Scottish Cup third-round match.

"I'm delighted my players didn't let the facilities at Wigtown, or lack of them, affect them in any way.  They got the job done professionally and with some style."

Buckie opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Sutherland and doubled their advantage eight minutes later with a fierce Donnie Munro 18-yarder.

It was 3-0 to the visitors three minutes later when Munro grabbed his second of the afternoon with a well placed header.

Davie MacRae got in on the act in the 36th minute with a thunderous 30-yarder into the top corner to send the visitors in with a comfortable 4-0 advantage.

In the 54th minute Ian Murray added another before Paul Napier's curling shot made it 6-0 two minutes later.

Sutherland was red-carded for retaliating to a challenge from George Wilson seconds earlier before the home side pulled one back through William Rennie.

Shortly after Jags substitute Shewan was dismissed for a high challenge on Adam Dougan and in the final minute Wigtown's Stuart was also shown a straight red card for his last man challenge on Ian Murray in the box.

Murray dusted himself down and made an immaculate job of the resultant spotkick for his 12th goal of the season to complete the rout for the Jags.
