Jags were a bit tasty agin the Clach they made a good team look poor. With the exception of Gordy Mo some goal big man!. Must say the ferryboye choir in the kipper shed were brilliant fun, they kept up the singing all game and the crack was brilliant. The biggest laugh was when our fans and theirs turned on a Snecky round boy an gave him a chorus of who ate all the lettice, it brought the hoose doon.

Just heard the sad news, much love and sympathy to the Lobban family from Martin and Glynis.

Former Buckie Thistle Treasurer, Katrina Lobban passed away on Sunday 21 February 2010, following a struggle with cancer, in the Marie Curie Hospice, Stobhill Hospital Galsgow.
Katrina had served as Treasurer for a season and a half at the Viccy and had suffered poor health over the last couple of years after having moved to Glasgow with her husband, Bill, who had served as President of the club for a spell.
After being diagnosed with bone cancer in her spine, Katrina was treated with radiotherapy at the Beatson Hospital, but discovery of a further tumour in her brain led to the planned chemotherapy course being abandoned and she was transferred to the Marie Curie Hospice on 1st February.
She received on-going care there, but finally passed away, in the presence of her family, having defied the illness with stoicism and her characteristic dignity.

Hi, Can you tell me the date,s my father Peter Marnoch played for your team it may have been late 1940s early fiftes. We have lost his news paper cuttings, would be grateful if you could furnish some info or pictures. Peter is now living in Coventry and in a nursing home but hale and hearty we like to frame any info you could send our way as a record for him and the family
Yours Sincerely

Just confirmed Buckie Thistle Supporters Club are to sponsor the away match at Fort William on the 30th Jan if game is on. The reason is that Jags Fans have always had a great friendship with the FORT and also it was a wish of the late Norman Wilson a true Jags Fan ,so we are to do the match sponsor in memory of Norman

I was gasping for a game, well done to the fans and management for getting it on. That was a harder fought win than the final down at the O.K. CORALL in Turra Coosville. That game ahead of other teams will be a big fitness bonus and the points come in handy too. Away the Jags
By: atuie on 16/01/10, 19:31
Agree wi Tin Can Stuie there Gordy Morrison wid be a cracking signing for us. Has always impressed fan weev played the Clachers. Maybe we qwid sign him and loan him back tae Clach for this season.
Also well done the Jags in keeping the fans totally informed wi the Pyramid structure news. Maybe am wrong but we seem to be the only club that asks their supporters their opinion.
Hope the game v Cove is on as wev missed the fitba the past month

Is there any news about new signings, the Rats Rag has ye doon at 4 to 1 to sign Gordy Mo fae the clach, you,ll seen need a larry down fae Inversnecky, he,s a good big ane though. How,s fans favourite PELE coming on with his injury, he,s vital to the squad. Coming back to the Rats Rag, I see the rumours page is finishing up. Thats a pity me , finechty loon and Jags fan love tormenting our detractors, and putting the clubs side across. It helped to put BJM up for discussion and it was nice to see others from different teams support our cause. I hope all goes well for David at the HFL meeting, and he is allowed to keep posting and delighting fans home and away. A jist hope he disna get a blonde to soon, and his intrests change, we would miss him.

Not back in the UK untill next week so also unable to vote. But am definitely against the proposed pyramid system.

Thanks for your comments stephen, and all the very best to yourself and all jags supporters for 2010 from everyone at the club.
By: Mark on 31/12/09, 22:45
Just want to wish all the jags fans, players, staff and committee a happy and prosperous 2010. I cant make the meeting about the pyramid system but for what its worth i vote no. I believe we should support the ideas that our committee and club are behind as it has been obvious lately that they are about the only HFL club with the bottle to stand up for their fans
By: Stephen Grant on 31/12/09, 22:33
Reading the Pig an Jam today, I was delighted to hear chairman Innes say his eyes had been opened. It appears certain clubs(Fah, Kin that be) dinna stick tae rules an Criteria, therefore Teflon cellotape is now banned for general use , and clubs will have to revert to approved Red Tape. I think certain Grants may be made availiable to the alledged rascal,s.By use of the plural clubs, how many of us are in the same BOAT. Away the Jags

Well said Mark , its about time this came to a conclusion and as the HFL canna seem to get their act together its nice to see Buckie taking the initiative to move this on.

I have never been more proud to be a Mean Green. The stance taken by our Board is admirable. We were gettin a bit of stick by some hee hawers on the Rats Rag. Usual tripe, which was well put to bed early by the cyber Jags. Watch oot for coo,s at the side oh the road on Seterday. Away the Jags

Id like to thank the Buckie Thistle supporters club for there kind gesture i received due to my injury, this is much appreciated. Im looking forward to get getting back training with the boys once i have another month or so working in the gym with the aim to being fully fit and clear of injury for pre season.
Another good result on Saturday and hope the boys can keep it going.

On behalf of the Board, Management Committee, Manager, Coaching Staff and Players, I wouls like to thank all the supporters who helped out before the game and during half-time to help clear the pitch in order that the game could go ahead- and the Jags could collect a great 3 points win. Boogles bores well and truly drilled and reamed by the Jags, Louis, and Dave took a grip of the game, and turned it round after a bad start, with the goal and injuries early on. Am away up the street in Tin Can Toon to pursue my two favourite hobbies of Gloatin and rubbin it in. Away the Jags an Merry Xmas tae the mean greens and BJM.

Boy has BJM akadavid been vindicated, just to add to the mix , Are the league management aware that to approach any individual and impose punitive threats, is a breach of the peace. Absolutely no one can unintroduced, and without legal prudance make demands on someone who to all intents is not breaking the law. If the demands of management are causing such serious misjudgement then, resignation is an option for our esteemed secretary. Of coarse he could regain a measure of respect by being most humble and say sorry. As for the Jags win for David agin the Cans. away the Jags
By: atuie on 17/12/09, 14:47
Just like to back everyone else on here in the totally rediculous way BuckieJagsMan has been treated by heads od the HFL. Heres the address for the online petition www.petitiononline.com/bjm/petition.html
Hopefully all buckie and the leagues supporters will get behind this as David has done a brilliant job wi his videos
By: Jags fan on 16/12/09, 08:24
Tin Can Toon Stuie, would like to add his name to the thousands of Jags exiles, appalled at the way young David Smith has been treated by the Heechy League, management through the offices of secretary Grunt. A possible reason for his bully boy tactics is the broadcast rights have been flogged off to a sponsor. In a deal not known or understood by all the leagues fans. Time for an explanation, maybe well get some flim flam in the choochters gazette, or some bric a brac rag. shame on the lot of them.
By: atuie on 14/12/09, 19:37

Just a message to thank the Club for their organisation of the Race night on top of our individual supporters hospitality package supplied during the day.
Add the 3 points with the win at home which put the icing on the Cake to a wonderful day out at Victoria Park.
Thank you to all the people who work behind the Hospitality, along with those behind the Race night coverage and the giving of your time. Your efforts are a welcome and a credit.
THANK YOU!

Thats the Tartan Lads pit back oor the Dava tae think again, they will get better. A game up at Grantown on a frosty pitch we the hailstanes shotblasting ye, is something else. Its a pity Davy Galbraith isna in the squad, his advice on the proper use of ladies tights would be invaluable for a game at Heechyville.

Tin can toon Stuie, fully supports our chairmans stance on the Pyramid System. The ten league feeder system is the creation of the Uber Jimmies. These incompetants led by the artificially head thatchted one, have cocked up every part of the game in Scotland. Sponsership, Sky Sports, the International Team, need I go on.They neither listen or care what the fans say or want. The Jimmies want us to be sitting on our buts, paying T.V. dosh so they can coin it in. Just look at all the Boo Hoo Hoo,in at the thought of the T.V. watchdogs making sporting events be showed free to air. The Pyro system is part of a Rot on The Vine policy to reduce club numbers, attendance and local culture means nothing to them. Just say no . away the Jags.

Message from STEPHEN GRANT - Just wantin to wish pele a speedy recovery and hope to see ypu play again this season, disgracefull tackle, referee needs to look at himself for letting him off with a yellow(comments altered slightly to avoid any possible problems regarding the site)

Good win for the Jags on Bonfire weekend. Buckies pocket Rocket, Zander fairly took the sparkle oot oh the Plooboys. On the wye hame, I overtook a motor bike an sidecar we supporters bus written on the side. What excitement, fantastic performance, great support from the mean greens, just a fraction away from one of the best results a Jags team could wish for. Six points from the next two games, would make up for the disappointment. The Plooboys an the Beachboys winna dee us nae favours, so Away the Jags steam them good.

What a battling performance , and how unlucky were Kris Zander and Marra nae to win it for us well played boys nae shame in that defeat

thought the vale were best first half but what a lot of character the jags showed after going down to 10 men then 9 a great fighting spirit from the boys and if we can play the rest of the season like that then we are in for a treat, well done lads we were proud to be jags supporters today, and what a support again, the best in the league.mon i jags. jimbo

Proud of the Jags, for not rising to the bait of thuggish behaviour by the opposition. It will be just as hard to win at the viccy so keep the heed, keep it doon, an keep passing.
By: atuie on 25/10/09, 12:48
I was delighted to hear the Jags were 2 goals up but a great fightback by Vale to grab a replay. Hope the lads can take advantage of a second bite at the cherry on Setterday. Hawaaaaaayyyy the Jaaaags!!! Mon Atuie, geese some crack.

Well done to the Jags on a great result at Clach left it late but fitba is played until the final whistle and we did that. Also have to say star of the season so far alog wi 14 goal Franny and Zander has to Chris Angus a briliant prospect.
Am sure there will be a fantastic Jags support doon to PRP but it would be good if a the support was in one bit o the ground to create an atmosphere instead of all over the ground
By: Jags fan on 21/10/09, 14:06
great stuff. the stamp o a good side is to play badly and win. the game is played over 90 minutes. play to the whistle. take yer pick. hawaaaayyyy the jaaaggs!!
By: hairycorner on 18/10/09, 21:34
Well done the Jags,a good end to a sad day for the club. The substitution one two worked again. The gaffer is in line for the Johnny Raminsky get out of jail award. (note to junior Jags) unlike Houdini who took yer money and faked it. Johnny would nip out of H.M.P. Peterhead for a fish supper and a packet of twenty tipped. Then after a day or two on the beer, he gave himself up whenever stovies was for tea on block B. Away the Jags.

Well Done the Jags. Bring on the Vale
By: brent jags fan on 04/10/09, 10:20
Well played the Jags, the end justified what should have been a score victory over tough opposition. The club have to say nothing and accept the way officials perform. Today two senoir and overbearing linesmen completely dominated a poor referee, into making decisions, on the push penalty and clear follow up strike for a goal, that were absolutely wrong. The active bounce up outside the box he awarded to Forres was spiteful. Big thanks to the players for keeping focus and doing the buisness for the supporters. away the Jags
By: atuie on 03/10/09, 18:17

By: hairycorner on 02/10/09, 21:50
Tin can toon Stuie, got a fair bit of stick of the Forres fans. They were well chuffed Boogles master plan to choke the life out the game, then big boot over the top to a high line of strikers, got them a result. According to them , we shouldna bather turning up. We should lift the last of wer tatties, or go shopping we the wife next saterday. Zico an Lambie can tell the rest of the Jags about a Quali cup tie a few years back. away the JAGS.

I would like to thank the Buckie Thistle committee for organising the ex players re-union last Saturday and for looking after us so well. It was a great day out and an excellent victory with plenty of goals. The Jags have a good squad and I hope Greg can deliver the league title soon for this great club. Thanks to all the fans who gave me and the boys a great reception, which was much appreciated. Good luck for the rest of the season. Joe Wood

On behalf of the club I would like to thank all the ex players who attended the game against Fort William. It was great to see them all and listen to all their stories. As it was a great success, I hope that we can make this an annual event.

By: bckwiz on 15/09/09, 19:49
Still singing and smiling, about the cup final result. Of the eight Jags wins Ive seen over the years this one was the best. I rate that Cove team as good as Caley at there previous best. To hold them in the last quarter, when the legs were tiring was an awesome performance. I am looking forward to our next cup game against Forres. They have won the title of Scotlands sex capital,(according to the SUN) so the Mean Greens will have to sing (THE,LL BE NAE K.Y.JELLY IN THE CUP)
By: atuie on 15/09/09, 18:27
Congratulations Buckie Thistle FC.
A perfect day. The sun was shining and with it was a wonderful support in large numbers. A good playing surface for this final and Two great goals, along with a clean sheet against the current league champions. PERFECT! Well done everyone at the Club.
By: Andy on 13/09/09, 12:22
Well done the boys,,,, special mention must go 2 the back 4 Bob, Lewis, Kevin, and Kriss,,played a blinder,,kept thier chances 2 a minimum,,,got to be honest,, the cove support (considering they are the the champs),,was pretty poor( 1 bus only), our supporters had 3,,i think (being at rainbow taxis park last friday), cove only get a good support at home,,,JAGS FANS ARE LOYAL AND HUGE HOME OR AWAY,,,,WELL DONE GREGG,,FIRST TROPHY OF MANY!!

We came, we cheered, we conquered. The Mean Greens did what was asked, Marra and the rest of the Jags walloped the Toonsers. Great performace by the team,I was gutted for Charlie and Martin having to sit the game out,but they roared the Jags on like the rest of us. A bit of late advice to Cove, having a bigger commitee than a support is not ideal,ah ken jumpin the dyke in a suit or blazer is a big ask, jist pay in like abody else, it adds dignity to defeat.

Three hundred mean Greens roared the Jags on to a long overdue win at Keith, a thoosand or so will lift the Jags at Turra to an even better performance. away the Jags.

If a right back, wins a tackle runs with the ball under control, through our midfield, executes a perfect wall pass with his midfielder, pushes on up the wing then lays off a perfectly weighted pass to the centre, who looks up and rolls a ball into the other forward who then finishes with composure, thats nae a sloppy goal. I,m sorry if my comments upset people, all stick to the comedy in future, yours Tin can toon stuie, Buckie Bill is innocent.
By: atuie on 10/08/09, 19:40
Committee members of another highland league club should not be making negative comments about our club on another website. Those making the stupid comments should be aware that our club was subjected to an internal investigation by the sfa last year , our "crime" was that a supporter "shouted" at a referee at the end of a match! , this was a disgraceful decision and yet another example of some of the nonsense our club have previously had to put up with.
For the record our club was cleared of any "wrong doing" but the whole thing was a disgrace , if someone cannot shout at a referee then no matches (even at school level would take place),we do not need stupid comments like this as it is difficult enough to run a highland league club as it is.
Perhaps those making these stupid comments would now like us to open up a "debate" on what happened , this would certainly open up a real "can of worms" for those involved in making this disgracefull decision.
By: Mark on 09/08/09, 23:42
I must say Buckie Bill i am dissapointed with that comment .After being in control of most of the game we lost a sloppy goal.I have to agree losing games are hard to take but to have a go at individual players is not good enough. If you consider the chances that the vale had and the chances that Forres had then i think you are being very harsh on the back line.We were beat on Saturday by an outstanding goalkeeping performance by Knight of Forres and sometimes that has to be accepted. If you or any suppoter wants to discuss any matter concerning the team i am available any Monday night at Buckie during training.
By: jodie1 on 09/08/09, 12:04
Dear me Buckie Bill, the Jags were dreadful,if the same defence is ever put out again then it will be cheerio from Tin Can Stuie. Myself and three hundred fellow Jageroonies were outraged, no excuses will explain this horror show away. Age has caught up with the squad, and the axe has to drop.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the boys, management and fans all the best for the forthcoming season. Due to the current problems i am having with my knee, i have opted to take a year out of football to fully recover from my recent operation.
I hope the year out will give me time to strengthen the knee and come back stronger next year to play for Buckie.
See use all at the Vale game!
Cheers,
Andy Low

Certainly looked a good work out for the team yesterday at Dundee violet. Game was played at a good tempo from both sides which in turn will have added to the teams Match fitness levels which is all that these games are about at this stage.
Excellent Goals from Buckie and all three sharply finished.
Hope those supporters who travelled on the Supporters bus enjoyed their day trip and managed a wee stop off on the way back to Buckie.
Edinburgh next week. must remember the pennies for the Rock!

I have a home shirt but I would really feel part of the club if I could join a supporters club.
Good luck for the forthcoming season.

We would like to say Thank you to Buckie Thistle for their Friendly welcome that we both received on Saturday.
First impressions and all that. A Friendly and happy Club with first class Club facilities.
We are hoping to make several trips up from the City to Victoria Park throughout the season having now turned our back on SPL football and are already looking forward to the game against Deveronvale amongst others.
Many Thanks,
Andy.

I found the photograph of Norman surrounded by his mates an fellow Jags deeply touching, as was the story cover by the N. Scot. The picture in my mind of the great fifties team with the five trophies,is truly Iconic, so is this one of the supporters. Their act of generosity on behalf of all of us, is something the Club and Jags fans can be very proud of. Very definately one for the Boardroom wall. Away the Jags

Fit likey Jageroonies, Tin Can Toon Stuie reporten back for duty after a fortnicht in Teener Reefie. Am liken the look of the new signens, Wee Moby is the boy tae tack the penalties we keep missin. On the travel front I stopped in by Pitmedden ( A K A) dump in Pictish, the ground wis looking neat. Parking will be a problem, if the Mean Greens descend on mass. I recond aboot room for fifty cars, an the place is a mile oot from the village. So the locals will be takin their tractors tae the match as well. So come early, tack a peece we ya, the rumour is the pies are a day auld and some, also tak yer I Pods, the wireless isna a strong signal, and on a bad day ye can still git Lord Haw Haw. good luck for the new season . The awards for players and supporters were spot on and well deserved. Its great to support a club like the Jags, the club directors have their fingers on the pulse, unlike our M pees who have theirs in the till. The only thing we all forgot, was a cheerio and thanks tae Lord Keachster oh Sharnyhillocks, for services rendererd. I suggest an emery coated roll of bogpaper that he can use in his Superbog, once they extend the width of his private cubical. Away the Jags.

It was a great to see the Supporters Club presenting David (Buckiejagsman)with an end of the season present, All the work he has done during the season, creating video's on the youtube website. What he does, keeps all the lads working offshore and away fae hame in touch with the Jags games home and away.
It is very much appreciated.
Well done to all who were presented with awards, as seen on youtube, posted by David.
To all have a good holiday during the break, hopefully the weather is a wee better than last year.
Looking forward tae the start o next season.

Am, dreaden readen the heedlines, in the Forres rusty bugle. They will be tootin their horns, Mechanics give the Jags a full M.O.T. (mother of thumpings) the Jags defence was stripped to the chassis, and thrice times given a rebore. An out of gas Jags team were exhasted by the Cans in overdrive. Ah weel a fortnicht in Tenner Reef suppen the duty free micht tack awa tne pain. Wishen the Mean Greens a happy Peter Fair, an thanks tae Hairy Corner Bill for his sympathy, dee better next season. Away the Jags.

Come on Jags, make a auld man happy and end the season wi a win ower the Tintins. If only just for Atuie's sake as weel; at least I dinna get baited where i'm at, I just have tae bear the burden, in silence as I make my way along the tenement crowded roads doon here in the big smoke, as hordes of hooded wee nyaffs skulk their way towards anither wrap, or walk their devil dogs, as if to say "Hey, look at me man, ah'm Skurdy McCullie, top man fae Brigton, ye dafty."
Sorry about the lapse intae verse, it's the ine o' a lang season, min.

Aye, excellent article Mark, you're spot on wi your observations. Its a pity the League Management can't opreate a level playing field when it comes to fixture organisation.
I'm disappointed I couldn't be there at Kynoch to try out Big Sye's new facilities; it's good to see that the intellectual fan is being catered for.

Like most of the Mean Greens Im, ah wee bit upset with the Jags at the moment. We dont deserve to have to watch tosh like we saw at Sharnyhillocks. Being ah veteran of the seventies Ive seen worse but they did at least try, and could walk aff the park with their heads up. See abody at the cattle court for this weeks thrilling installment. Fit likey Jaggeroonies, Cove gave us a hard lesson on Seterday past. To win the league, thats the type of commitment required. The speed of their defenders to get across us, and shut down space at any chances was to be admired. The new Heachy League set up ( I wiz for 16 ) micht work oot, Am glad the Dees got telt tae tak a hike, an am still nae convinced about the sheep chawed medow,s oh Pitmedden( that name means dump in Pictish )I ken Donelly and Tam up in Grantown will give it a real go, an Turra will be an asset and a fine place tae go. away the Jags

A couple of months ago I spoke to the Club Chairman Mark Duncan and told him I was a distant Fan from Stoke on Trent. Mark was very kind and pleasant and sold the Club in a positive maanner. I have been facinated by the Club since I was Boy (I am nearly 60 now) because of the name. Mark forwarded me some info about the Ground and some programes. I am a fan of stoke City and Barcelona also. I am a referee at the Moment I assess on the Football League in England. I was once on the Linesmans List of the FA Premier League and was one of the First FIFA Linesmen in 1992 - 93. I appeared as Linesman in the 1992 FA Cup final and am also known as the replacement referee that played 7 minutes stoppage time to allow Steve Bruce to score two goals against Sheff Wed April 1993, often repeated on Sky TV. Anyone with any info on The Jags please contact me on john.refhilditch@btinternet.com where I may explain why mt pet hate team is Arsenal. Away The Jags.

Aye, hard trip down tae the Bellslea but they have seen the wheels drop off after a couple of good results, so there's nae reason why we canna notch up anither win and put the pressure back on the "top" sides. couldna help but go "twa faul" when I heard about the locos shenenigans!!

Good work by the board to get the Gaffer on a contract. The Tankers hive pit up a lot of smoke an steam, but it wis obvious fit they were after. Corperal Cormie was the king oh boot an run his tactics (considering the players he had availiable)are stuck in the Juniors. I hope he bides at Railway cuttings forever. Hard match coming up at the Broch, Charlie will be up tae his tricks nae doubt, still its fine tae see him fit an rareing to go . Away the Jags

disappointin nae game again, it allows the Broch to get clear of us into 2nd place, although we have the dubious advantag of three games in hand.
tHE Locos managerial problem is droll, will his players, some of whom recently signed long term contracts want to play for him now? could be advantage to the other title challengers though.
just watching scotland falter against france just now, so even less to cheer this afternoon. can only hope that the evil empire get humped somewhere.

Hi James (Jappy). Here's a wee poem to celebrate your big 60, it was in the Banffshire Advertiser "By Spike", 50 years past on 15 January, 1959.
I likes tae walk amon’ the snaw,
I likes tae stan’ and watch it fa’,
Makkin’ a’ thin’ fite
An’ sparklin’ bright;
Aye, I likes tae see the snaw.
Bit fin it starts tae gyang awa’
It’s nae very fine ata, ata,
It’s jist a sotter
O’ slush an’ clotter,
An awfy weet gin ye fa’.
For a’ that I likes the snaw,
Kis it pits a stop tae fitba,
A’m fine an’ happy

Great win,the Mean Greens had the Byre rocking with the type of support the Jags need and deserve. Special mention for Charlie, a bit too deep, and a few stray passes in the first half, like the true pro., he ups his game and was outstanding and entertaining, and the fans let applauded his work for the team.
By: atuie on 18/01/09, 08:32
Gregg is doin the buisiness, it's there for all to see,,,,if you can't see there is something wrong with your eyes,,,his philosophy is bang on,,, you play for the jersey (not money) or out you go,,,jags fans don't want money grabbing pre-maddonas who occasionally turn up for a game,, what we want is guy's with pride, who play with passion,,need i say it AWAY THE JAGS!!!!

Well, well, well, and that's the story of the 3 wells as my dad used to say: I found it great to be back today, 3-0 and up a place in the league. Due to family commitments etc today was the first time I could take my place on the terracing and that was solid as I found a mannie fa knew my Coopie Joe Granda. So to the game. No problems fir the Jags they fairly stuffed the Broch. Today was a team performance born of self belief! If going up the league is as easy as this, bring on Huntly next week.
Oh and to buckiejagsman thanks for youtube and jags fan for your invite onto the terracing.
See you on all from now on.

Aye aaye atuie. Happy New Year tae you and the missus. I agree wi you, 16 teams an ideal no. for the H Lge. Onny mair and it gets unweildy, the divisible nature is ideal wi 16 and I agree aboot the east/west divide, should be mair fae the west. Auld weetabix heid will nae doot hae some pee-heeein tae dee afore there's onny change. he'll be all for mair aberdeenshire involvement but why can the likes o thurso nae get involved, as wick have managed to run a stable ship and the ir neighbours have a similar population and a good goin rivalry exists.
Maybe the Ins. City would like to stick a toe in the water?
Anyway, all the best to everyone who reads the site. Any word on Kenny Gilbert?

It will soon be time for Lord Keach of Sharnyhillock, an the rest of the Dee-ils brood that macks up the Heachy League commitee to ruin things big style. The situation of an eighteen team league is far too ambitious, three from the East and nane from the North will water doon the quality of the product. The commitee have to be aware of at least two very sick puppies in the north set up could fold up at ony time. This allied to the fact that other North clubs wid sell the sarks on their backs to become reseve team feeders to the Big Boys up this wye. The Magic number is sixteen, it divides by four, dissna need preliminaries. Also I and her indoors like going to another town, as opposed to a park on the outskirts of nowhere, or gettin stuck on a ringroad. Also dinna forget the Fitba Jimmies trying to stick their oar in , an getting their own wye for the price of a blazer an some free Bonnie Schotland tickets.

Something you should sort is yon squakin P.A. it souns like yon fuzzy noise they use tae keep hoodies awa fae shoppin centres. What a performance and result from the Jags. It was a joy to watch Pele Charlie and Martin work together and destroy the Rothes Defence and even better to see them take their chances. David Macrae goal was a absolute wonder goal and to round off a brilliant day to see Franny hitting the net as well. It was also a joy to speak to Gregg before kick off and he has made everyone in this side work as a team and it was good to see him shouting from the dug out to the team to keep going right at the end.
appreciate Jags fan comments and I hope to have this brilliant game on youtube by tonight for Cy

Scintillating interplay, and incisive yet incontrovertible superiority of possesion led to cascade of goals from our wellbeloved Jags. The Quards at times seemingly mesmerised by the audacious rapier like thrusts of attacking swashbuckling soccer. The Players danced their way past the unfortunate Rothes, with the pose of Najinski and the strut and leap of Nurriev. The whole extravaganza was as a spectacle of entertainment, worthy of the rapturous applause afforded the team by the Mean Greens. Away the Jags.

Second game back for me and another great result. It took a while for fitness to really show up today but the Jags took the honours. The 'pushing up' and catching Nairn off side worked but being caught out once in the first half separated the teams. The use of 'route one' and the substitution really paid off. Winning matches requires grinding out results and we did that and with a bit of 'style'. Our three 'sweet' goals in the second half saw off a strong, physical effort from Nairn. When the third goal went in I got up and roared, "Come on the Jags! Jags, keep on scoring!! I hope to hear a bit more "encouragement" from us, maybe I should try the terracing?
Away the Jags!

Really enjoyed my first visit back to Vic Park Saturday past. I'm retired from work and am back 'hame' after many years away. Buckie really deserved their 4-0 victory over Brora on the strength of their second half play. It will take me a wee while for me to identify players but certain ones took my eye. I'll be back.
Surely The Jags will climb up the league with the form they showed.

Great entertainment on Saterday, the Jags were a dream going forward. The Wicker,s deserve and got a lot of praise for their open play. Meanwhile Lord Keach oh Sharnyhillock his been at it again on the Rats Rag. It seems ah ye need tae git intae the Hichie League, is a dyke, a byre we seats an some lichts on a pole. That sounds like my backyard, all need to apply posthence. Fin the masses descend on Udny tae cheer on the Formers, ah hope the stables are big enough,an the tractors dinna get in free. Could somebody explain to the Keachster, the science of demographics, an geography.A ten thousand population, with one percent watching and supporting, gives you a crowd of a hundred. Ourselves the Vale an the Thomas the Tankers manage that amount nae bother, the rest struggle. The heart of the league is inter town sporting rivalry, by becoming a sponsors plaything,or a senior league reserve haven, just watch it go pear shaped. There is no point in playing into the hands of the Jimmyland pyramidder,s.

The Jags, management are spot on with their opinion,s of the pyramid structure. For me its just another Jimmyland con, to reduce the number of clubs by wither on the vine methods. They would be able to centeralise the cash, and like there political counter parts, fat cat it big style. Any hint of the Heechie League management doing deals with the Jimmy,s should cost them their positions. As a mean green, I would, hate to see the Jags or any unwilling club, forced down the road to ruin, by pyramid suicide. Geographical and economic sense suggests the next Highland League club should come from deeside, its far enough away from Cove, Peterhead and Aberdeen, Banchory would be A nice place for Culter to move to. away the Jags
By: atuie on 06/07/08, 19:44
I see the Yanks are comin, to the West. One wonders what changes will be fall the Heechie League. Perhaps the Nevis Boys will change the team name to Fort Apache. Instead of your half time pie, you can eat Indian food, like buffalo burgers or snake rattle and roll. When you give the officials stick, you,ll be shouting. Hey linier arbitrater, you go-in blind or what huh? Or maybe the whole thing is a load of sitting bull. (did I put that the right way round). Anyhoo the Fort deserve a break.I remember when the Jags were rock bottom. The team got oftimes humped, but the hardy few kept on supporting. The players played for peanuts, and the commitee, sweated blood and tears for very little thanks to keep the Jags alive and kicking. Away the Jags.

One of our scholars did the hundred meters, well he got tae seventy odd afore the Polis caught him,(hard tae sprint we yer pouches full oh fifty pences. Also quite a few old boys went on tae be up for the High Jump at Glenochils.Liking our new signings, nice one Kev an Doug. away the Jags.
By: atuie on 21/06/08, 16:21

BTW, glad to see our new signing is a wide man; havena seen the guy Courage but heard good reports, it's a shame he's needin awa.

just a note to say all the best for the coming season, and remember, win lose or draw, we'll be supporting you all the way.
and to tin can toon stuie, sounds a fair team. i well remember trudging home from the viccy with head down on many occasions then, but there were some more joyious results. anyone got some good reminiscences from that era?
By: fifejag on 16/06/08, 10:41
Tin Can Toon Stuie here, still healthy but a bit bored. Thocht tae maself, fit would be a good Jags team to come from the Sixties and Seventies, we didna win mutch then , but we had some teriffic players. My 4 4 2 would be. Joe Wood, Malcom Cowie, George Sang, Gordon Laing, James Innes. Willie Macdonald, Les Cowie, Spencer Lyon, Mike Winton, Rex Hunter, Dennis Gowie. I ken a lot of Jags like the one and only Charlie (nae Broon the ither ane) AND Gary White are missed oot. Kin onaybuddy come up we anither team away the Jags.
By: atuie on 13/06/08, 20:51
Good 2 see charlie brown on board. A guy like him who has been oiur nemesis on more than one occasion in his career wi the mossad could be a handy lad to have. folks goin on about him being the wrong side o 30 and having travel problems on ither sites sound like sour grapes 2 me. im sure kev & doug went into that during any interview they had wi the man. i remeber hatin charlie duncan wi a venom til he signed 4 us back in 80s then efter he came to the viccy was the bees knees. fit you think stuie?
By: toonieschooler on 03/06/08, 21:38
Stuie from Forres Tin Can Toon, hive ye ever seen a blog come bAck at you so fast yive nae time tae duck.I hope Mr Charles Brown, hisna enough spare cash from his welcome to Buckie package to hire a hit man to hunt me down like dog. Maybe I should go to watch the City this season, or teach Gaza to play crib, as we both will be on the same ward. away the Jags.

Ye would think our esteemed chairman,Laird Keach oh Sharnyhillocks would mine fah won the cup and shield, this season. Maybe it wis paint fumes, or eaten unripe fruit, fah kens. Fit I ken is if ye like being taken for a ride, go to stables. I also ken fit comes out of stables. The wye tae clean it is to give it the brush off, and dip the trough for the Auditors. I herebye nominate our chairpunter for the Robert Maxwell Biscuit Tin Trophy, for services to the Jim Farry Management Scheme. Many thanks to the Muckle Dubs Tigers for seconding the motion.
By: atuie on 02/06/08, 17:16
Fit ah stairt tae the season, the Tin Cans at their ane midden.
Am gittin it ripped oot oh me aready. So come on the Mean Greens we need a big turn out to cheer on Kev an Doug and the Jags.On the prematch social scene, the Eagle is the cheapest pint. Afore yis ah rush mack sure yiv got accident insurance, theres nae lichts and yell trip oor a Buckie bottle or two in the wye in.Charlie Broon says tae tell yis he,s as fast as ever, due to Forres paying for two new bearings on his zimmer frame and oh Ih could ye play three at the back again. Away the Jags.

Great to see the Jags appointing a new management duo A.S.A.P. The Will Bros. did great to win the Q Cup during their last spell in charge and I hope they go on to improve on that in the forthcoming seasons. Must admit that i wasn't best pleased when they seemed to cause some acrimony when they left first time around, but I am pleased to let bygones be bygones specially as they have expressed feelings for BCK when I have spoken to them several times since. Hope they can help us keep our bottle next year as we are becoming known for losing it in last few years.
Hawaaaay the Jags!!!!!!!
By: toonieschooler on 14/05/08, 01:29
Very glad to see Doug and Kevin back at the Jags. They always made time to talk to the fans. I always wished them luck on their retutn to the Viccy with other clubs. These two lads know their stuff, and the players top bring to the Jags.
By: atuie on 13/05/08, 17:30
Dont know if it is a good thing coming back to a club or no, but time will tell on the new management team. What I dont understand is the end of th U19s and just going with U17s. Not much young lads are ready for the Highland League at 16-17 years old and that is when you lose them if you cant keep them interested. Whats others opinion?
By: bckladdie on 13/05/08, 15:36

its never nice to loose a manager,(well i think) but i feel that we hav a had a good season, but we became a little inconsistant towards the end. but i would like to thank BIG Shearer for what he has given the club and the supporters over his reign. Best of luck to him.
but who ever the board decide to take the club forward, i will back them all the way.

Good to see the Jags back on the winning trail athough it seems with a generous slice of luck to help them.
Hope the game against Cove goes well next week as a draw is no good to either team. Fitness problems?

Shame that Lewis is not in the squad for the trial match at Viccy Park.
Good result at Kynoch inasmuch as it sputs a spoke in Cove's push although it Keeps Keith well in the mix. We'll need to beat them with a couple of goals when we meet at KP as tehir GD will be superior to ours if the continue to win the games they have in hand.
Vale too looking good, wi Chiz in particular hitting another couple of goals last night.

Happy to see Tin Can Toon Man, Stuie is alive and well. He really enjoys gie'in the Forres home boys s good kickin' when the opportunity arises. Keep it up Stuie!!
On the home front, great news re. Martin Johnston, a bit of quality like him won't go amissin, wi the experience he's gleaned; hope there's no injury problems wi him.
Good to see that the Forces of Darkness have been snubbed, although wi Vale and Locaes in the running, we'll hsve to present a good case.

By: fifejag on 13/12/07, 10:53
the game last night btween the jags 19;s and the vale, didnt deserve to end in a 2-0 defeat to the jags. a penalty, and a confusion between the keeper and the full back were the effect of their goals but we hit post and should have had a penalty ourselves. any way good to see the youth development players comming up. as bck put on a 14 year old fro the under 15s side.

Hopefully we will see you on Saturday and hope you enjoy your day out.
Cheers

The Jags spank the Thomas the Tanks and some. As Dave Edwards says in the P and J brilliant display. I had to go to Oban to work, but I got the result of the net at Mscaully,s Bar. Its the watering hole of the Oban Celtic [shinty] they ken all about the famous Buckie Thistle. So the lads gave a rousin chorus of its a Grand Old Team, [bit timmy[ but the Mean Green guys would have loved it. Your in my Heart, away the Jags.

It looks like last seasons form continues at victoria park. It's surely time the "other" jags team which turned up at mosset park was disbanded! Any more like this one boys and you can forget about even challenging at the end of the season.
